Jazz Festival

Yesterday evening, after church, I got to go out to the Kemah Boardwalk. It was sort of last minute. The reason I stopped going regularly on Sunday evenings was because it was so hard on my family. I went nearly every Sunday during the summer, but quit for the fall. Last night, Sara and the kids had a play date, so I lead worship at Anchor, and went to sow some seed. God has put the roller coaster right next to where I preach, so there are many that got to hear.

Mary met me there to pray and pass out tracts. I started off the night gathering a crowd of about 20 people with trivia and money. I made the mistake of getting a "nice soft spoken" girl for the "good person" test. I thought this was going to make the crowd turn on me. However, she was honest, and answered truthfully. For a young girl (15 or 16) to answer that she was going to hell is amusing to a crowd. I got to very sweetly give her the good news of Christ! I gave her the $5.00 because she accepted it as a gift, which made my analogy of Christ offer very clear.

I preached a few more minutes, then I asked how many were already believers. No one spoke up, so I began to prove the existence of God, by proving that there was a roller coaster maker. They seem to hang in there, but afterwards, I hopped down, and gave them all tracts, and asked them to get a Bible and read it.

One more thing, at one point of the night, someone stopped to listen in the street. This held up all the cars, and about 7 car loads also got to hear it as well. The police had to tell them to move on. :)

And one more thing about the police. God has given us favor with them. They have been so nice. An officer stopped me for a moment last night, and told me to turn down the speaker. That little Crate rocks! I obliged, and he told me to carry on. Praise the Lord!

God, thank you for Your favor, and for your mighty hand! The Lamb is worthy! The Lamb is worthy!
